Biography

Dr. Patel is board-certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Internal Medicine. He completed his Hematology-Oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas in 2013. During that time, he spent several months training at MD Anderson Cancer Center as well.

He has been principal investigator and sub-investigator of several cooperative group clinical trials and industry-sponsored trials. He has received several awards recognizing his exemplary work related to clinical trials from Wake Forest Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and VCU Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, Virginia.

He provides compassionate, individualized, and outstanding patient care by integrating the latest treatment strategies with each patient's personal preferences. His main goal is to attain the best possible patient outcome and maintain excellent multidisciplinary care coordination.

In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife and two sons.
