Biography

Dr. Gradon Nielsen earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia after graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Rochester with a distinction in research and went on to complete a Hematology and Oncology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, which is consistently named among the top cancer centers in the nation. 

Dr. Nielsen has a strong research background, with a special interest in healthcare quality improvement as well as the rapidly changing field of immunotherapy, which investigates the new drugs and therapies that boost the body’s ability to fight cancer. A published author, Dr. Nielsen has been featured in The Oncologist, the Journal of Clinical Oncology and The Washington Manual of Oncology. He has also served as an investigator for multiple clinical trials.

Known for his warm personality and excellent communication, Dr. Nielsen prioritizes developing authentic and meaningful relationships with his patients. Working side by side with them, he provides personalized treatment plans that incorporate the most advanced therapies available, including immunotherapy and genotype directed therapy. He treats all cancer types and blood disorders. 

Dr. Nielsen is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, where he gained a love for biking, hiking, and exploring the great outdoors. He has had the opportunity to travel to many different countries and is always looking forward to another adventure. He is also an avid fan of college football and basketball. Above all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
