Biography
Dr. Snehal Damle is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). She has been practicing in Hampton Roads, Virginia, for more than 25 years, providing comprehensive care for patients with cancer and blood disorders. Her clinical practice encompasses the treatment of all solid tumors, with a special interest in lung, gastrointestinal, and breast cancers.
In addition to her clinical work, her expertise is shared with prospective doctors as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences.
Dr. Damle received the Ciba-Geigy Award for Excellence in Teaching while at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Journal, and BLOOD. Her research has also been presented at national scientific meetings, including the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and the Society for the Study of Blood.
An active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH), Dr. Damle remains engaged in advancing cancer care through ongoing education, research, and clinical excellence.
