Biography

Dr. Camilla Yu is incredibly pleased to be with Virginia Oncology Associates, providing comprehensive and compassionate care to women with gynecologic cancers. She completed her medical training at UMass Chan Medical School. She then went on to complete her clinical training in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital and her Gynecologic Oncology training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Throughout her training, Dr. Yu has developed expertise in surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy to treat cancers of the uterus, cervix, ovaries, vagina, and vulva. Additionally, she is excited to be able to offer heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) to her patients.

Dr. Yu is trained in advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic approaches, which provide patients with the best possible surgical outcomes. She strives to offer women and their families cutting-edge treatment options through clinical trials.

The core tenet of Dr. Yu’s practice is a patient-centered, collaborative approach that combines quality, evidence-based care with an emphasis on maintaining quality of life. She is passionate about working with women and their families to provide support at every step of this challenging journey.

Outside of work, Dr. Yu enjoys trying new restaurants and going on hikes with her partner, Nick, and dog, Logan.
