Biography

Tina is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a home-grown nurse who began her career in medicine serving in the US Army as a medic. Following her discharge from the Army, while raising her family, she attended DePaul School of Nursing in Norfolk, Virginia where she earned her Diploma in Nursing, graduating with honors. She was commissioned into the US Army Reserve Nurse Corps and was called to active duty during Operation Noble Eagle.

Tina earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University while expanding her nursing practice in emergency medicine, neurovascular intensive care, and briefly flight nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner, graduating with high honors from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

Tina joined Virginia Oncology Associates in 2007 and began working as an infusion nurse where she obtained her certification in oncology nursing. Enjoying the rewards and challenges of cancer care, Tina will remain with Dr. Michael Danso’s team at the Brock Cancer Center. She is excited to continue working with her beloved patients who she has cared for over the years.

Tina’s interests include stand-up paddleboarding, birdwatching, gardening, and photography. She is a mom of 3 human children (3 canine children) and a grandmother of 4.
