Biography
Susan Miller has been practicing as a physician assistant in the field of hematology and oncology since 2007. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah, Georgia. She completed a year of practice in the emergency department before joining a busy oncology practice in 2007 where she worked in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In 2010, she added academia to her clinical practice, teaching and precepting PA students. In 2013, she became the Director of Pre-Clinical Education for the Physician Assistant program at South University, while she continued to practice medicine. She has also been published as part of a group of national exam writers for PA education, contributing to both Family Medicine and Internal Medicine national exams. In early 2019, she joined Virginia Oncology Associates, after relocating to the Peninsula.
When Susan isn’t working, she spends time with her family and dogs, working in the garden, cooking, and exploring nearby wildlife refuges or national parks. She also enjoys exploring the waterways of the Virginia coast and besting her husband fishing.
