Biography

Courtney obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Virginia in 2002. She then practiced as a registered nurse in a variety of specialties, with a focus on inpatient oncology. During that time, she obtained her Master of Science degree from Loyola University New Orleans in order to become a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2009. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner ever since, primarily focusing on Hematology/Oncology. She has earned advanced certification in oncology for Nurse Practitioners through ONS (Oncology Nursing Society). 

Courtney joined the team at VOA in 2022. She is a member of the VOA Inclusion Council and volunteers for the yearly food drive. 

Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending her free time with her husband and children. She volunteers as a children’s chapel instructor at her church and for the Arts Ballet Academy. She loves to spend time outdoors and enjoys knitting.
