Dr. Steinberg graduated with a doctorate in Pharmacology and completed medical school at New York University. He completed his residency and Hematology fellowship at Bellevue Hospital/NYU Medical Center. After serving in the United States Army Medical Corps at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Washington D.C., he completed his Medical Oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He has written several publications and belongs to numerous professional associations including the Medical Society of Virginia. Dr. Steinberg currently holds appointments at several hospitals in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake, Virginia, and is an assistant professor of Internal Medicine at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk.
