Dr. Powell is a graduate of Eastern Virginia
Medical School. He received his undergraduate
degree from Christopher Newport University and
his Masters degree from Old Dominion University.
He completed his fellowship in hematology and
oncology from Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland
Air Force Base in Texas. He is board certified
in Internal Medicine and Hematology, in addition
to Oncology. He will conduct his practice at the
JRC office Prior to joining VOA, Dr. Powell served
in the U.S. Air Force and attained the rank of
Major in the Medical Corps. His last assignment
was at Wright-Patterson AFB Medical Center where
he was Chief of Hematology and Oncology service.
