Dr. McGaughey received his medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed both his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Hematology Oncology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to attending Medical School, Dr. McGaughey was a partner with the Norfolk based law firm Kaufman and Canoles, where he practiced corporate, health care and tax law Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, and has broad-based training in general hematology oncology, and significant experience in autologous and allogenic (including cord bleed) stem cell transplantation. His particular clinical interests include stem cell/transplant, breast cancer, leukemia, lymphoma and lung cancer.
