A graduate of Penn State University, Dr. Booth
received his doctorate at the University of Virginia.
He completed his medical internship, residency
and fellowship in Oncology at the University of
Wisconsin. Dr. Booth entered active duty in the
United States Army in 1976 and separated in 1986
after having achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
He served as a staff physician at Walter Reed
Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. and as
an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine
at Uniformed Services University of the Health
Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. A published author,
Dr. Booth is board certified in Internal Medicine
and Oncology. Dr. Booth joined Virginia Oncology
Associates in 1986. He has been active in the
community and the hospitals serving as Chief of
Medicine at Williamsburg Community Hospital and
Riverside Hospital, and lecturing widely on breast
cancer and prevention of cancer. He is a member
of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists
and the American College of Physicians.
