A graduate of the West Virginia School of Medicine,
Dr. Alberico completed his residencies as well
as a research and clinical fellowship at the University
of Virginia Hospitals. He is board certified in
Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology,
and is the author of several manuscripts, abstracts
and a book chapter. He is a member of numerous
professional organizations and has served as president
of the Virginia Beach Chapter of the American
Cancer Society. He was the chief of Hematology
Oncology for five years at Sentara Norfolk General
Hospital and was the previous director of the
hospital’s High-dose Chemotherapy/Stem Cell
Transplant Program. He is also an assistant professor
of Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical
School in Norfolk.
