American Society of Hematology (ASH): The American Society of Hematology (ASH) is the world’s largest professional society concerned with the causes and treatments of blood disorders. The mission of the Society is to further the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders affecting the blood, bone marrow, and the immunologic, hemostatic and vascular systems, by promoting research, clinical care, education, training, and advocacy in hematology.

American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO): An organization comprising more than 8,000 health care professionals that are dedicated to advancing the practice of radiation oncology by promoting excellence in patient care, providing opportunities for educational and professional development, and promoting research in the field.

Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology (APAO): The APAO is a non-profit specialty organization affiliated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants that consists of PAs working in the field of oncology. Our members practice in both clinical and research settings. The APAO boards of directors meets annually at the AAPA national conference and communicate throughout the year. The APAO holds an annual conference to educate health care professionals about oncology principles, current practices and new developments. The APAO awards an annual scholarship to a PA student that is interested in pursuing a career in oncology.

American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA): The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) is the only national professional association that represents all PAs across all medical and surgical specialties in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the armed forces, and the federal services. AAPA provides comprehensive support and advocacy for physician assistants so that they may, in turn, provide patients with increased access to quality, cost-effective health care.

American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP): AANP formed in 1985 to provide NPs with a unified way to network and advocate for NP issues and was the first national organization created for nurse practitioners of all specialties.   As the largest and only full-service national professional membership organization for NPs of all specialties, AANP represents the interests of the more than 125,000 NPs currently practicing in the U. S. and continually advocates at local, state, and federal levels for the recognition of NPs as providers of high-quality, cost-effective, and personalized healthcare.

Oncology Nursing Society (ONS): A national professional organization of more than 30,000 registered nurses and other health care providers dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, research, and administration in oncology nursing. It's also the largest professional oncology association in the world.

American Psychosocial Oncology Society: The mission of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society is to advance the science and practice of psychosocial care for people with cancer. APOS provides online education, free of cost, on the following topics: Multidiscplinary Training in Psycho-Oncology, Distress Management Training for Oncology Nurses, Cancer 101 for Mental Health Professionals and the Psychosocial Aspects of Cancer Survivorship.  APOS established a toll-free hot line for cancer patients or patient advocacy organizations to obtain referrals for local counseling and services throughout the U.S.  The referral program aims to connect patients to psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and social workers skilled in the management of cancer-related distress. 434.293.5350

National Society of Genetic Counselors: An organization which promotes the genetic counseling profession as a recognized and integral part of health care delivery, education, research and public policy. Genetic Counselors can be searched by State, City, Counselor's Name, Institution or Areas of Practice or Specialization. Cancer genetic counselors are involved with individuals who have cancer or a family history of cancer.
